Who's worse?

Sore losers who deliberately play slowly/time out in a doomed position rather than resign, or the self-righteous, tedious numpties on the forums who pedantically insist that such petulant behaviour is totally acceptable?

I think the worse kind of people are those who create 2 threads with the same title and content, then go to the foruns posing as if they are the most perfect people in the world.

Is not not some glitch that can happen on the phone?

Must be a glitch. Not guilty. I created one thread only and am definitely not perfect, just ask my wife.

I saw the duplicated post but can't find a way of deleting it.

You can ask a mod to delete the duplicates. And while the behavior is unacceptable, it's their choice to use their time as they want to.

You agreed to play a 10 min game then let the other one use his time.

You are just a ridicule 1200 dude on chess.com, resigning at those levels is not and will never be recommended, you can hang or take somebody's queen in a move.

Be more humble, you arent a chess demigod.

So it's fine for a losing player in a hopeless position not to resign just because their opponent is rated 1200, and equally acceptable for them to "use all their time" by abandoning the game in order to childishly force the winning player to wait for their victory?

For those of you who insist that players have the right to "use all their time" in this manner, I have news for you; the powers that be at chess.com don't agree with you! This is demonstrated by the fact the message "[PLAYER NAME] may have violated our Fair Play policy - it has been noted and they may have their account restricted" automatically appears in all such circumstances.  It's against the policies of the site whose terms and conditions you agreed to when you joined, end of.

If you find the rules here too harsh, why not join another chess website that allows disconnecters and sore losers to ply their trade at will?

Good luck finding one!

Other reasons such as?? Please elaborate, because I can't think of any. The only time I have ever seen this message is when an opponent has stopped playing in a losing position and deliberately allowed their clock to run out. It appears every single time someone does this, so sorry, but if you truly think that's a coincidence maybe you shouldn't be calling others 'stupid'.

Is that an actual expression?

Your first scenario (a player not resigning in a "lost" position) is not a violation of chess.com Fair Play Policy. Like Yuri said, a 1200 can easily blunder away a "won" game, so it's unreasonable to expect the losing player to resign. The winning player in these situations also gains practice delivering checkmate and avoiding stalemate.

Your second scenario is a violation of chess.com's policy, and players who abandon their games are punished accordingly.
