I think it brings up a good point. If we castle, we should be able to un-castle. However, it should be allowed only once, just like castling can only happen once.

where does it say in the rules of chess that you can award 1 point for a win or 3 points for a win ? it's time to get rid of FIDE and put in some rules that actually make sense and gets joe and Josephine public interested in the game.

for the same reason that you can't move your pawns back. This rule teaches you that you must decide carefully about your actions: some of them cannot be taken back. Now i have a couple of questions for you: 1. why can't i stop or invert my chess clock during a game? 2. why can't i move my opponents pieces?

For that matter, why can't you take back any move, as castling is just another move? Do you really think it would make the game better if you could arbitrarily take back any move you felt like?
Never thought of that. Probably because castling is a one-shot deal. The same reason u can't castle after u move the rook u castle with somewhere and back, u can't "reverse" a castle.
