Why is this game so male-dominated?

Society doesnt favour Males. If i have to hire a secretary i even excludivly only take females. Im totally pro woman.

People like to bash gender roles, and rightly so. But they ignore the fact that they are usually followed not for some ridiculous delusion of control but because of peer pressure and stereotypes associated with those that do not follow them. It has been in my experience that some people tend to stand against gender roles only when it's beneficial...
There is hostility and violence in this society simply because a "man is not being a man", or, "a woman is not being a woman", and it is heartbreaking to witness. I find society to be quite sad in these instances. Gender roles are fine if you wish to identify with the role. But we live in a society of 'individuals' with only a few years of life on this planet. Each individual has every right to be any way they wish without hurting each other. I must side with the existential motif, "Existence is prior to essence", in explaining my concern for those who wish to be different from the way society is now. There is a cruelty about gender roles which everyone should be sensitive to when espousing their acceptance of them.
"Dominated" doesn't seem to me to be the exact right word. But it's probably a cultural think, changing faster than we can think.
It is male dominated because the Women don't have the time, you know like um? dishers to do, washing to fold, making a cup of tea for the man of the house who is too busy to help because he is playing chess 
Men dominate chess the way they used to dominate the gym, usually by being overbearing.
But times they are a changing. Thankfully.

Obviously this is a goofy post. But another side thought is to be a really successful man in chess (or about anything) I imagine it's a great help to have a wife supporting them. So the other side of the coin is maybe men on average are less supportive. How many boys answer "what do you want to be when you grow up?" with "I want to support my spouse and help them be the best person they can be."

no he is right, if evolution exist that could be a point. Man had to be faster and had to be stronger, they also had to outsmart really strong and dangerous prey like mammoth and stuff, while women had to hide and grow up the kids unless we assume humans lived like animals were the women lived alone with the kid and had to hunt like a bear mother.
As far as i know they have found hints that man and women lived together, so if for so many years man had to hunt, there is a chance that Mendez is correct unless evolution is a myth.

Sorry, but you aren't keeping up with technology.
Buy a robot vacuum cleaner $200-$500, add a dishwasher and your wife/maid is halfway redundant.
Then add a robot lawnmower, which still seem to cost over $1000 and you're pretty much set up for suburbia.
Support to be the best you can be...life coaches do that without wearing the wedding dress.
And an electric blanket is easy to turn on if you like bedtime to be a bit more fun

No, he is not right. He is a 16 year old KID that has no clue what it means to be a man, and apparently neither do you. Grow up, you're going to have to do it some time, now would be a great time to start.
