All things tend toward mediocrity, including destruction. In the next 50 years, there will be a limited nuclear exchange, regions of the world rendered uninhabitable, but elsewhere people will just experience higher rates of cancer for several generations and funny mutations. No world end, sorry.

God said no one would know when it would happen. 

It will end once the sun turns Earth's surface into an oven (in approx. 1 bln yrs.), which I don't plan to witness for myself.

Good to see you Big Red. I always know there's going to be spice in the dish when I see the red pepper. As for climate change, there is no immediate threat, nor even long-term threat...of annihilation, that is. Mediocrity, again. Island-nations disappear, economies trend downward, populations migrate, human lifespan declines. No biggie, we just adapt. Maybe some bright person will figure out a way to soak up the  CO2 for us. So, put those thinking caps on, young folk!
