Wisconsin Residents! (United States)

I have been dying to ask this question for ages...

To all ye Wisconsinites! Raise thy hands and tell me of yourselves! There is a stirring pot of cultures and ethnicities on this site and yet through all my posts, reading and playing I have yet to encounter a single other player from Wisconsin. Oooh sure, couple people from Michigan...but come on! Us nearly Canadian people have got to band together! Heck, I've known more foreign people who know about us than U.S. citizens.

Imma feeling lonely out here ._. Give a brother some love...or, because that didn't really work out in the 70s, a shout out. Surely there must be one or two of you on board this ship!

Edited Update:

If it makes you feel any better. One of my best friends is from Wisconsin. An ex boss of mine is from Wisconsin. A friend of my ex wife's is from there( I forgot that I played with Russ and his son Nick in chess and they weren't bad at the time, probably 1200-1400 players). I recently did some electrical work in which my company obtained the permits for a company from Wisconsin. The general contracting company was from there also.

I do not know any avid chess players from Wisconsin. My good from from there used to try playing wing attacks against me neglecting the center and I crushed him pretty much everytime. I think he got discouraged.

Wisconsin is a bit of a melting pot of cultures itself but, perhaps being in the US, along with the mandatory beer consumption of Wisconsin residents, it has worked together to slow the development of it's chess playing ? lol

I once bought a cup made in Wisconsin. Oh, & watched a brief news story of Wisconsin basketball. That makes me feel kinda like I belong. Does that count?

I am not from WI, but I do wonder if there are any proud residents of Embarass, WI.

Damon Smith;  it only counts if you left a tip. If you didn't tip, then get the hell off this thread.  My mind is allways in Lake Wobegon, does that count??     Now we have to start a thread,  Wisconson Residents! (Mexico)

I said bought a cup, not at a restaurant where you leave a tip. I always tip well because I know that's the vast majority of a waiters income.

Never heard of Wisconsin. Are you making this up??

I stand corrected Dr Smith. I guess we know who needs a cup of coffee now. Wait, I'll go to Wisconsin; I heard their coffee is great. If I call someone from Wisconson a "chesehead", will I be banned for naming and shameming??   The ban is reversed when you compliment them. Therefore, The Madison Scouts have an excellent drumline.  Oh!, I'm back. Those mods can't keep me down.   Moving on--boots and pants, and boots and pants.  You are in the forums. Don't tell those people from Wisconson, but there's donuts in the conference room.

Chippewa Falls, WI here. Live right up the hill from Lienies brewery. Hopeless at chess, but still learning.
