I could be mistaken, but I believe the only sound made is when your opponent has moved. Meaning when you make your move during a correspondence game, if you leave that same screen up, after your opponent moves the screen will refresh and make a sound and say that it is your move. This is the only sound I have heard and could be what it is referring to.
