You are correct objectively speaking all d opposite colour Bishop endings usually drawish in nature.

Maybe ur opponent would've won on time.

But yeah u may b unlucky game wasn't drawn by server. ...

I played one game wherein position was drawn n offered several times during d game but my opponent didn't accept it since he thought he could win on time....but I played rapidly 50 moves with no captures n eventually server automatically drawn d game......here is d link 4 ur reference. ....http://www.chess.com/livechess/game?id=654019828

Theserver only draws a game on insufficient material or stalemate., NEVER on 3 fold or 50 move. If your game was drawn 'automatically', it's because your opponent claimed.

I agree with Scott, on this site, proper claims always work.

So what r u saying is wrong with that game?

in fact white player is awful, I would block him for playing in live chess, but not reason to be banned it is not against the fair play rules... and even those who abandon games are not banned... often happen I find an opponent who let the time runs when losing and then I go to the game archive and mysteries... I found he has not resigned in any game he has lost, always loses in time in lost positions or eventually checkmated. Also often there are several insults in the player's wall for abandoning games

3 guesses what always follows this statement....

The OP has player more than 2500 games is less than 8 months on the site.

Methinks he votes with his feet.  Yawn.  What a silly diatribe, this thread.

but... to be honest that game should have not finished in a lost for black, you are awarding a rude behaviour by white, and requirements for a draw were met

The requirements to claim a draw were met, but obviously the draw was never claimed.

A claim is required as well. Some sites automatically give you the draw but that's like having someone walk up to the board telling you that you can draw.

"Jesus, do you Americans know how to behave? Did your parents teach you how to speak?"

As a Romanian, you are probably too stupid to see the irony there.

Offending someone without a reason like macer did questions his education somewhat. If you're trying to flag someone like that guy did... it's just no comparison. Also I'm not the racist type by any means but, statistically speaking, (almost) exclusively Americans are constantly swearing during and after games in the chat.

I promise not to judge all Romanians by your posts.

you but if white is trying to outime you it is difficult to keep a track on the number of movements, claim a draw after each move takes you time, and even sometime ago chess.com change the settings so premoves also take you time... so I think it is kind of a sum of rules who benefit this kind of behaviour you don't want an opponent to have

You did the exact same thing...except to many people at once, instead of just one. Admittedly, your method is clearly superior in efficiency, but that is where its superiority ends.

Also I'm not the racist type by any means but...

...you are.

168...Bd5!

Never woulda though of that one!

You're either REALLY bad, or you were REALLY low on time.

Either way, these things do happen sometimes, and your opponent won fair and square by grinding you down on time. Ever heard of premove?

The site is not broken. Did you REALLY press the draw button? Cuz I used to think I didnt have to either.

but we are not judging Black play quality...

White was basically trolling. I put you a more extreme case:

I was once on the chat rooms, at it appeared a guy complaining the opponent didn't accept the draw offer when playing a game in which I think only the two kings and opposite color bishops remained for both players, something like that, I don't remeber well, it was not suitable for a draw for insufficient material cause it was possible for one of the players to chackmate the another one if he was helped by the opponent by placing his piece in the square king needed to escape... but it happened some years ago, so I don't remember exactly which was the setting. David Pruess was at that time attending the chatroom and he joined to watch the game going on. It was a slow pace game and while the opponent was refusing the draw, guy just needed the opponent to capture his piece and game would be automatically drawn because of insufficient material. So the guy started to hang the bishop to be captured and the opponent refused to take it!! and like it was a long time control game he only moved every once in a while so it could be like an hour or so to meet the 50 move rule. So I basically thought he was trying to make game an utter boredom so the guy will finally feel fed up and resign. As for you the opponent would have won fair and straight, at the end if you sign for a 60 min game, you have to be prepared to play for 120 min. But, as a matter of fact, it isn't a desiderable situation. But the only thing he could do was block him not to meet him again in a live game. In the case of this thread an automatically awarded draw would have been a better outcome, imho, rather than white's win

Go ahead and leave. Nobody is going to miss you. Your the same idiot who said you'll analyse people's game and didn't bother.

(generally I am not this mean but I guess this had to be done)
