A friend of mine was banned from chess.com not long ago. He was a member of the Off Topic community, and he was always nice to everyone he met, yet he got banned from this site for no known reason. Was there something I missed, or was he unintentionally banned? Please let me know if you can do anything about it.
I pmed pianojames and said he couldn’t say

Members don't get accidentally banned.
Yeah, so then WHY TF was Ferrari ?
That dude never posted a crude post and ain't no way he banned due fairplay. No way he cheated.

Other than what is posted on the profile, only the member can tell you what happened.
That just seems so very weird since he's so well respected and only expressed respect in any thread I've ever seen him post in. It makes absolute perfect sense that others that knew him and his character would totally stand up for him, AND MAD BAFFLED HE TO BE BANNED . I'm sure you understand such frustration, yeah?

I can understand but also know that staff have more information, so if they closed the account, there was a reason.
Well, I assure you, if there was a way to get him unbanned, he wouldn’t do whatever he did ever again
I don't know why he was banned, but since this is his 2nd time getting banned on that account, I'm assuming won't be let back on (with that account, at least).

I don't know for sure, but people on this thread said it was either for spamming or creating a second account without permission. I've never seen anyone get banned for spamming, so I'd assume it was the second reason.
