If this is against spamming can you please put some reasonable filter on this? You are now blocking people from commenting when they just want to contribute in a normal way.
Your comment was not posted because you have already posted 3 consecutive messages

Hi staff,
Can you please help me with this?
I want to make a new comment in an old thread:
https://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess960-chess-variants/chu-shogi
This is the error message:
"Your comment was not posted because you have already posted 3 consecutive messages."
I think this is a bug (if not it would be risiculous). I want to make a serious new comment and I am not spamming. And yes it is true, in some long past I had posted 3 consecutive messages, but that can also happen when you are just serious with a topic.
It is not a bug, but by design. If the last 3 posts are by a member, they can't post again until another member posts on the topic.
You should provide feedback with a ticket about the change.

So you still can't post there after the most recent one. Prior to that, you had posted the last three posts.

Indeed I looked wrong, the last three were mine.
People who want to spam or annoy will easily avoid this by making another user account. The good news is: so can people who have valid reasons for posting more often - like me.

"You can not post new topics that frequently"
Chess.comis the B.E.S.T. site ever in implementing anti SPAM measures that also hamper normal users that just happen to be a bit busy.

There are many users unhappy with this:

This is a problem that doesn't stop spamming, but does stop people from playing forum chess smoothly. I've had to send ry a pm on at least three occasions asking him to bump a thread so I can post a new board, or make another game related post. It's ridiculous.

If anyone needs any lab glassware, such as test tubes, I have plenty for sale. Drop me a pm if interested.
That's how easy it is to spam.

But let's say I'm modding a game of bulldog chess, and post a comment responding to a question from a player, then respond to another question from the other player, then post the board. I now can't issue a time warning until someone else has posted.
I don't need to make four posts in a row to post spam.

It would be better if chess.com just allowed members to report offending posts, issue warnings to players, and ban repeat offenders.
Or they could at least say no more than 3 posts in a row in a 24 hour period. That would be acceptable.
As things are, it's a ridiculous rule that just causes problems for those of us playing bulldog chess in the forums.
