Draw arrows while playing?

Can you draw arrows while you're playing a live game?  It sure does make calculations a lot easier.

With your mind? Sure, whatever.

If it's some kind of browser extension, then no.

Easy. Just have a pencil and a piece of paper with you when you're playing, and you can draw arrows, swords, spears and whatever else you like. Just remember not to do it when you're in time trouble.

You can do it on lichess by right clicking and drawing the arrow, I was hoping maybe there was a way to do it on chess.com

Martin_Stahl

You can do some of that in a Live analysis board but not during games.

MyleneFarmer

It would be an interesting feature for streamers if they want to show what is on their mind

You can now, not when the topic was started.

Nhavined_Your_King

can it be done on mobile?

Can your opponent see the arrows

Martin_Stahl

I would assume your opponent can't see them in the feature added for streamers.

I would think you need a full computer to do it. Also, analysis boards are limited to premium members (diamond and platinum) so drawing arrows may be also.

Nhavined_Your_King

nooooooo

Nhavined_Your_King

how did Krish manage to do it on the app?

CookedQueen

Of course you can.

But you have to know how to do it right.

From the site help:

Arrows
The members (owner and students) can draw an arrow from one square to another right-clicking, holding the mouse button down and dragging the mouse to the square they want to land on. These highlight in green. To remove one line, click on the Start position of the arrow and follow it to the end point, (like erasing). To show a move back and forth, (arrow pointer either end) simply hold down the right click, drag from position A to B, then again, hold down the right click, and drag from position B to A. To remove all arrows, left click once on the board.

Thanks for the tip.
