great idea there
taking moves back
It would be nice in live chess as well. I don't enjoy a win because someone mouse-slipped and moved a Q one space shy of target.
I like the idea, but you should be limited in the number of "Take backs" you are allowed in a game like 1 max
I think, if allowed, there should be a switch that you would need to initiate prior to the game that enables takebacks and it should be indicated so both opponents know whether his opponent allows takeback. That way there would be no surprises or ill feelings plus it could also be a paramenter in the game-seek function. As a rule, takebacks seem like a bad idea, but there are exceptions.
I don't really see this being a good feature in the live games, due to the clocks being low and all... but it might be something great to add in the online games.
They could add a little box at the start of the game that you can put different settings onto. The "Take back" Settings are setup as follows:
When any take back setting used the game becomes un rated even if it started off rated.
The other player must agree to allow the take back, if they do not agree then you do not get your take back.
You can set the "depth of take backs" to any number prior to the game start. The depth of take backs has 2 numbers. 1st number is the number of moves you can go back, and the 2nd number is the amount of times you can use the feature.
This feature would be just for learning, and fun, like if you are playing against a player with a much different rating.

hi,
I think you should let people decide if they want to let the other person take a move back.....you know when you want to train against someone.
