Never been a fan of locking a thread to control one or two posters. It punishes the good actors with the bad actors.

I don't understand why we are not allowed to even mention one of the most important global life changing events to happen in generations. What next? Will we be forbidden to talk about the weather?

The weather is hardly a hot topic unless you are talking about global warming and even then you will always have some people that claim it to be untrue...
This will probably get me muted. I'm close to not caring anymore. I'm not even allowed to say something as innocent as : "My nephew contracted covid but recovered quickly and is doing well."

I can understand moderating discussions. I don't understand why the mere mention of the C word gets their britches in such a bunch.
Because there are people doubting whether some medical experts are experts and on top of that it is about the efficacy of face masks. Simply saying that masks don't work creates a lot of heated debate that is best kept within the confines of a club. Unfortunate I know but I co-run at least one other club which allows these kinds of discussions...
