So kco, what's "Gallipoli Sniper" like, if you've started it yet?

Nov 2008

Sorry Majorsloor, I have finally managed to finish Gallipoli Sniper is was a interesting read but is wasn't really focusing all on Billy Sing the sniper. It gave alot of general background and sof Queenland in the 1900's leading up to the war of the World War 1. Surprisely alot of the time I was thinking the the war at Anzac Cove was only a trench warfare not only that but is was also a sniper warfare.

Some of the paragraph imo I find it a little annoying how the author put it, here is a example- (this was on pg 87) "Horse have long been replaced by armoured vehicles, but today's regiment is still divided into squadrons, and its headquarters sits close to a shooting range. The 5th Light Horse once camped here in the same lines; Billy would have practised firing on the range. Today sharp crack of a Lee Enfield .303 has been replaced by the sudden sharp stutter of the army's 5.56 millimetre F88 Steyr Assault Rifle."  I just don't like modern things interfere with the past story.

Now I am gonna try and read From 0 to 130 properties in 3.5 years by Steve McKnight.
