"Brave" Browser Blocks All YouTube Ads And Enables Background Playback For Music

Just found it on the Googleplay store, and it's free, so letting people here know if they weren't aware. It disables all ads and stops youtube from blocking playback when you minimize/open other windows (youtube deliberately does this with music and not with most other videos to try and get people to buy their rip-off premium membership, since music is the only thing you'd want to be able to play in the background while doing other things obviously). Went looking today as the ads are getting infuriating, 30+ seconds before every video and 5+ times during even 10 min vids, the background playback is a bonus. Enjoy and spread the word.

I don’t freaking care if it is a scam, I just got an ad with a girl in barely any close with four shirtless dudes behind her and a video with the quote “OH NO, NIGHT IS UPON US AND THE RED GOONER GANG HAS BROUGHT THE RIZZLER TO EDGE ME”

Meanwhile they age restrict everything for the slightest reasons, and I can't even sign in to watch them cause got banned in 2021 from their extreme comment censorship. But nasty h00kup site ads below every 3 videos? No problem!

One of my favourite youtubers (BangSnap) got her channel terminated for knocking over her mic. It got flagged as child abuse, and they declined her appeal

Meanwhile there are some AWFUL things still left up by other people. It's disgusting

Also if after a while (hasn't happened yet) youtube detects it and tried to stop playback, turn your data on and off again + toggle airplane mode and back, then refresh everything, disconnecting and reconnecting multiple times often changes your ip address. Even temporarily turning location off can affect that. All ads do is annoy me to the point I would never want to but whatever product lol.

They are also doing other sick things deliberately. Like shadowbanning your comments by making it look like it's there but then gone after refreshing. They will also "slow down" the text box on your phone making it look like it's just a frozen connection but it's another version of this shadowing. Thats why I didn't even bother creating another account after getting banned in 2021 because they make it unusable. Removing dislikes was also a new low. It's lunacy, and as many people as possible should be using these blockers/VPNs.

Also to add, they'll ban those people but allow deranged channels like "8 passengers" (Rube Franke child abuse case) and let them make $$$millions off of the platform. Company should be prosecuted under facilitation/aiding and abetting/son of sam laws. Letting people profit off their crimes.
