Does voting really matter?

Since pretty much 99.9% of those elected become the type of politician they claimed they were running to rescue us from so does voting really even matter?

We often unwittingly vote to replace one monster with another.

The power, the money, the "perks" changes most. Those that may have had good intentions become part of the problem. Maybe they even stay true, but realize they have to sell their souls to the system to get anything good passed in Congress or Parliament?

Is there a better alternative to voting?

Vote independent, because it shows up as a vote of being not pleased with either candidate

That's not an option now that we have lost our beloved rice cake dictator.

I guess you'll fit in well with all the other perverts already in office.

I discourage people from voting. (It makes my vote count more.)

To quote that one guy in that one war from that one movie...."I love the smell of dumped tea in the morning!"

Many of us, myself included, have not believed in anyone running or holding office as being worth a vote for many years.

I still vote, though....doesnt feel right complaining about the politicians i didn't vote for

I wear my LUCY VAN PELT for PRESIDENT shirt every time i vote- so what if electioneering near polling places is against the law!

I know it sounds crude but the entire System's so [removed -- MS], even if there'd be a mtf that actually wanted change there'd be no improvement.
