Great pic and tribute to Eric Morecombe. Wanted to say thanks but cannot post for some reason. He's a comedy genius and a big part of my childhood. Cheers :)

I'd never heard of him (being across the pond). Sad that he passed so young. I guess it didn't help that he was a heavy smoker and drinker. I did read his Wikipedia bio.
They put on documentaries about him somewhat regular, but I don't know if his show can be found repeats of. So I've just seen bits and pieces.
I think they were known for getting things wrong and improvisation - so seem to me a bit like Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson in that respect of their chemistry.
