No it's not India's Birthday Its Independence day ! There is huge difference between them
Technically , it is India's birthday , until then it was called British India and before British India , it was India , Pakistan and Bangladesh . So it is the birth of a separate nation .

Well in terms of celebration , Independence day isn't that glamorous. You got the President and Prime Minister delivering long speeches. In schools and colleges you would see cultural functions taking places . Events are organized in order to impart information about freedom fighters to the kids. Those who have a defense background , of course are involved in parades and what not . Its all normal stuff . Republic Day is more entertaining tbh
