Actually, when we use the fossil record, we get a fairly realistic picture of how our species came to be. The current timeline is about six million years from a common ancestor (from whom apes and the humans species branched off). Although it looks like there are a lot of changes needed in terms of morphology, only a few genes govern the small differences, say, like skull structure. It’s entirely possible it happened in that timeline.
Hi I'm Yal! Ask me anything

This originally began as a humourous bout of back slapping...now we're here debating the evolution of mankind...my head hurts...

Take two Advil and come back the next morning.

Lol.

Apes couldn't make phones, they wouldn't be smart enough. Apes couldn't invent tools, there would be no point. As far as I can tell, there is usually a change needed to evolve. The apes wouldn't need to adapt to much, so why need to evolve? Also, 6 million years I don't think is that long of a time. And we aren't sure about any details.

Do you think you evolution is a valid possibility?
Nope.
Why is that?
Too fast. In theory I think it is possible, but I don't believe we could be here today ruling the world if 1 million years ago we were apes.
Why not? There are only a few genes that separate us from apes. Plenty of time to mutate and become human. Also, your timelines are a bit off.
Also if evolution is true morality is relative
Not necessarily. There’s such as thing as Evolutionary Creationism (EC). God-guided evolution. That’s straying a bit into religion though.
