#24 hollow knight is like that yes. But I’d describe it more like king has multiple affairs and his step children fix his mistakes and resolve the generational drama between their family and the radiance.
I think both games are fun, however I would choose hollow knight over silksong. I really like the combat system of silksong, but something about hollow knight hits different. It’s like a silent quest through a dystopian kingdom. I like the simple details about how you can’t speak and can’t feel emotion. All in all, the game feels full of the perfect things. It really conveys the knight as a hollow vessel and I love that. Silksong is a different concept so I understand why that feel is gone but I feel like the concept differs too much. Hollow knight just has a better feel. And godhome and the pantheons are top notch. I’m not sure if silksong will have those but I am still having a ton of fun playing it even if the concept is different. I do like the different crests and tools you can use though. However the kingdom of pharloom feels a little bit random, even though it probably will relate to hallownest in the future. I also really love Greymore. It kind of feels like a depressed city of tears. So, I think both games are fun, but I would probably choose hollow knight over silksong.
