Background for those who don’t know history 😭:
In August 1944 after the D-day landings, for the allied high command the advance across Normandy was going great and they had captured Paris, they thought it was a massive opportunity to capture the southern portion of France with joint landings from the U.S. third army and the Free French forces.

As someone who is taking French classes, I respectfully agree with this question. Why, in the name of all that is pastry, censor France?
I have stayed up until 4 for a school assignment and almost passed out
