I auditioned for the Voice about 11 years ago and I sang "Same Old Rock and Roll." Needless to say, the show passed. It wasn't Bob's fault, it was mine!

Seger has had many bands, of course The Silver Bullet Band; his first band was Last Heard and his first commercial success was with The Bob Seger System. Seger has also played extensively in studio with Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section. (Thank you Wikipedia)

Watch 'Muscle Shoals', the documentary. I don't think Bob is in there, except as one of the hundreds of incredible artists that recorded there. The Swampers were the original studio band. All local boys. Percy Faith, a local nurse who sang to his patients. They found him, the rest is history.

Willie Nelson - The Last Thing I Needed First Thing This Morning

Santana…Album Supernatural. This thing has 20 songs and an all star line-up that only Santana could put together. Wow. I have chosen two instrumentals. The Calling has “lyrics” after the first 3 minutes but they don’t bother the music at all and are more like chants/praise than a story. Great jam. 
If you could bottle up great music in a bottle smaller than 5 minutes it would sound just like this. (The Farol)
