Scientifically, it is like egg shaped but it is definitely NOT flat cause if it was, boats would go off the edge and no. It doe not go on forever. Where would all the water running of the edge go?? Its egg shaped

No, the world is not flat like chess. If the world were flat like chess, we'd have to worry about pieces falling off the edge every time we moved them. Can you imagine playing a game of chess and suddenly losing your queen because it slipped off the flat Earth? Talk about a frustrating game! Thankfully, the world is actually a sphere, so you can focus on your chess strategy without the fear of gravity ruining your moves.
