Well we can say what we want about each other but u can't. Only we can. Those are OUR words. Do u like that logic?

Black people use the n word in a tongue-in-cheek way as a show of solidarity. You could argue that it's also offensive for them to use it, which is debatable, but It's literally impossible for a white person to use it without being offensive, because context and history matter. Note that no laws prevent you from being a racist, people will just hate you. Note that liberals don't want laws that prevent you from saying the n word to your friends, they just think you're a loser for doing it. I say offensive stuff all the time to my close friends because they specifically know my values and that I'm being cheeky/satirical - no law prevents me from doing that. Free speech means I get to express my opinion about dumb people's views. If you want to be a racist and have nobody say anything bad about you, you are indeed the one against free speech.

Note that while I identify as a liberal, I still like to approach each topic from a neutral foundation, and I don't agree with everything that is mainstream "woke". For example I think the speech laws in Canada are horrible. I think people should be allowed to be offensive to whoever they want to be offensive to for any reason. At the end of the day the real judgement comes from why you were being offensive and how your peers judge you for it. It shouldn't come from a government asserting moral values over seemingly private affairs.

You seem to not be thinking about governmental laws and more about the way the private sector treats speech, which really boils down to being fearful of negative judgement, and with that I can't help you. Get better values that stand up to tough arguments and defend them well.

@1818-1828271 I don’t know if we completely agree on everything regarding this but for the most part this seems like sound logic. I think the last sentence does well as a moral to the story of this thread.

@1818-1828271 , If ur so obsessed over race then u, urself, are the racist. The first person to mention race is the very person that wants race to be an issue. That's a fact.

You are of course aware that doesn't make any sense within this context?

Since you don't agree with everything I believe, you are wrong

Yes, just because somebody mentions race doesn’t mean they are racist.
@DreamscapeHorizons your perceptions of fact seem to be disturbingly out of touch with reality.  With unnerving confidence you make quick, poorly thought out statements that aren’t supported by any evidence.

Actually, the delusions of other people on an online chess forum are wholeheartedly not my problem. I dont regret what I said, but I have much better things to do. Unfollowing. And for the other people trying to argue with fixed minds, noble effort, but honestly, cya wouldn’t wanna be ya.
