Those warnings accumulate over time and eventually I'll be muted for 24 hours (which has happened to me already on this account)

So that OP is like a auto mod trap. Anyone who quotes him will get flagged.

Yep, same thing happened to me. I tried to quote an OP trash to call it out and got the red banner. I reported it, but now i have a warning on my account? Priceless. 

How on earth was he able to type that with nuisance...

Maybe if you post using your phone app you can do that?

Which means you could make a long post and hide a bad word in there, and then ask people to quote it, and you could get a lot of people warned.

Well, a mod has deleted the words, so now we can quote the OP of the post. 

But I agree, they need to do something about this.

im guessing that the programmers probably took a bit of a shortcut and marked everything up without discimination, not considering quoting.
