not trying to be rude but maybe lock it sry js a idea if you have access to locking forums
Are you talking about the "heated" spam thread? If so, then I agree. We don't need another epidemic of 15-20 heated threads taking over the forums.

i didn't know mods still existed.
I'm saying that because there are too many things on here that are breaking the guidelines, such as nsfw profile pictures. I'm not trying to be a nuisance, but please do something about it.

There are 100,000+ accounts made each day and it's not possible to monitor everything. There are some automated processes that can catch some but of you run across something, please report it.

I think this should stay pinned, Martin. I believe any new members of OTF should see this thread and learn that they should not interact with spam threads. Or just anyone in general.
Sure, it looks a bit weird above the rules, but it's still basically the first thing you see anyways. Plus, in General Chess Discussion (GCD), there are five pinned posts above the guidelines post.
https://www.chess.com/forum/view/off-topic/obvious-spam-posts - Martin_Stahl's recommendation on handling spam posts.
https://www.chess.com/forum/view/off-topic/ever-play-simon-says - AwesomeAtti's tips on handling trolls, especially spontaneous ones.
https://www.chess.com/forum/view/off-topic/checkmating-internet-trolls - Another thread from Atti, on trolls, and how to handle them.
https://www.chess.com/forum/view/off-topic/b-r-d-i - BenjaminTD6's handling of trolls. I often refer members to this.
https://www.chess.com/clubs/members/moderators - A list of all moderators for you to DM if you deem reporting and blocking is not enough.
ALWAYS REPORT TROLLS AND SPAMMERS. THIS IS A GUARANTEED METHOD FOR A MODERATOR TO SEE THE ACTIVITY
Its always the 500 and under who are spamming. There should be a certain elo threshold you have to go through for you to be able to chat lol
