I'd say a very high and optimistic 3/10 for me. Yes, I know, it's way too high, but I gotta have a little hope, right?

Yes, the future doesn't look very good right now, but the thing is, it never has! Most of us are young, we don't remember the Cold War where half the world's population lived in basically slavery and the other half was terrified and paranoid about the world possibly ending. We don't remember the world wars, where millions and millions of people, both soldiers and civilians, were brutally killed. We don't remember the 1918 influenza pandemic, which killed 50 million people in just a few months. And most of all we don't remember what life was like without medicine, cars, planes, computers, or any other benefits that we enjoy today.

Yes, all this COVID/politics stuff is certainly annoying, but the human race has been through far far worse and not only survived, but come out stronger than ever. To assume that this time will be any different is foolish. Even if something really bad happens, and we go into another Dark Age or something, we will still eventually not just dig our way out, but attain much greater heights than before. After Rome fell, it took hundreds of years for humans to gain that level of prosperity back, but now we make Rome's peak look like chicken feed. We are in our Golden Age right now, and over the long run, I fail to see how this time around would be any different from the many other times in our history that we fell flat on our face and came back stronger. (chess.com doesn't allow discussion of religion, so though I think religion is a big reason why we've been able to keep getting back up I won't expound upon it.)

You are not sure about it, really. You lack hope yet you think hope is good, somebody told you it can be great sometimes. i think What you mean is this; can the world get better? better place to live, better food to eat, better people to love, better countries to peace? Better planes to fly, fast cars to drive, silky phones to slip, glossy gold to wear? well it can. But if you think is the world a better place to live, i think then, No it is not. Or that it does not matter.

ONE can be happy even if the nation or the city.is a bit or very chaotic. Just make your home a Sanctuary and your Relationship with spouse and children harmonious. Don't bother about the millions of citizens suffering.
