I don't really find gacha games that appealing, but it does have hot anime women.
(I have a feeling that's why it's so popular)

That's actually exactly why it's popular. the... "art style". It's not to my taste, but I don't judge.

This is just my opinion on games, but you need good gameplay to have a good game. Graphics and artstyle are also important too, but a game that's only popular because hot anime girls still needs to have good gameplay, or it won't be a good game.
This isn't directly talking about Genshin Impact by the way, just more in general, but it could apply to that game. Again, I've never played Genshin Impact, so I'm probably not right to talk about this, I just wanted to share my opinion.
Also, from what I've seen, the community is quite degenerate. Not to say that all Genshin Impact fans are bad, but people like to bully them because they like Genshin Impact.

I tried it once, couldn’t really get into it. It felt like they just took breath of the wild (which already wasn’t really my type of game) and added a gacha p2w system. Also it’s weird that the game requires internet at all times, somethings off about that personally.

anime games gameplay sucks

Playing a game just for the “hot” anime characters doesn’t sit well with me, so 5.

yea
i play a game for the story, the gameplay, the community, the music, blah blah blah, sure what the game looks like does play a roll. if hollow knight was a bunch of boxes i wouldnt like it as much, but the art kinda doesnt effect how much i like a gams as the gameplay.
