Political Bias by the Admins? Profile Pic Removed

Sort:

I got a warning today in my message from Support about "abuse" and that I would be muted or have my account closed if there are further incidents. Here's the thing though, I have not done that at all.

And immediately after replying to that message, I noticed that my avatar was missing. I've included the avatar that was removed below. I realize that some people are offended at the mere sight or mention of Donald Trump but such an image certainly doesn't meet the "offensive image" definition in the Terms of Service.

Why was this removed? Why are FALSE REPORTS affecting my account?

Could an admin please explain why this picture was removed as my profile pic?

What happened is that a bunch of people that can't abide a mere image of Donald Trump decided to report the image in order to try to get it removed and it seems that an admin or moderator was more than happy to oblige.

I think it is a robot who administers this, not a real admin

I've had the same avatar for over a year, if it suddenly gets flagged as offensive you would think that would merit a human review.

It may be a new person that got a little overzealous. It's also possible there has been a change in policy, but my guess they took the no-politics too literally.

No such policy exists for profile pictures though.

There are some historical avatars that are not allowed, but I'm not aware of a change in status when it comes to political figures as avatars.

That's not even close to being the issue here.

Who? I am probably one.

If THAT's not the issue then why was this thread started.?

The issue is that the avatar was removed and wasn't in violation of the rules. WHY I had it is not the issue.

Kindly tell me which of these rules my avatar violated.

That does not meet any standard of abuse and you know it. If they don't like it, they can block me. It doesn't violate the rules.

Hey Ronald, Difster is obviously an avid support and wants the world to know it. He is upset an Admin has separated him from his beloved hero. I appreciate Trump supporters being up front by using a Trump icon. One picture being worth a 1,000 words, it speaks volumes of that person and serves as a warning (to me). happy.png

And no one is forcing you to play a game against me.

I'm a paying customer and they're censoring me without cause. I have a legitimate complaint.

I don't think so. Rommel was well respected by senior Allied officers and was part of the plot trying to free Germany from Hitler. He was forced to commit suicide to spare his family from the Nazis (and Hitler from embarrassment).

I would guess more than half of the people on this site don't recognize your avatar . . .
