So.. yeah I’m a little traumatised

I found an old book I read when I was 9. Um.. the target age was 12+, I was a good reader, so I thought I’d be fine. Well.. here’s a little bit from said book. Warning: There’s a lot of.. stuff..

So the protagonist is a girl who had the worst childhood, like ever. Her birth mom left her in a bin the second she was born. Her adoptive mom k***s herself because her adoptive dad cheats. “She didn’t want me to see. She c*t her wrists in the bath.” She goes to a children’s home where she helps an older girl steal from houses in the middle of the night. She goes to another children’s home where a girl bullies her to the point where the protagonist tries to kill her by pushing her down a stairs. Keep in mind this whole time the main character is like 9-10 and was growing up in these places. Then she goes to boarding school, eventually gets adopted by one of the nice teachers. This whole book is told in flashbacks on the girl’s 14th birthday. Name of the book: Dustbin Baby, by Jaqueline Wilson. Jaqueline’s books were really traumatic, but like in a supposedly “kid friendly way of teaching real-world scenarios”. Um.. so..

(also I’m posting a bit less bc I’m in PARIS WITH MY CLASS 😭😭)

And they say reading helps expand your vocabulary and makes you more intelligent.

Enjoy Paris, Lils!

When I was 6 I read Warrior Cats. I have dark humor now. Ripping someone apart from the nose to tail tip using dog claw enforced claws and a painful agonizing death repeated 9 times does… things to a brain. Warrior Cats is a good book series.

I love violently ripping people apart as soon as they question my authority.

Leaving an infant in the bin for her to rot slowly. You know, for kids!

Enjoy Paris, by the way! And be sure to take pictures.
