Congratulations on proving my point. Your account indicates you've been removed recently by the site and your new claim to fame is insulting a person you've no way of knowing. You even created a thread to do it. Very classy.

And you have multiple accounts all doing the same thing.

Now you're gone.

This^ is an example of the time people waste here making multiple accounts to troll and insult people for the pure joy of it.

Imagine the pride of being such a person.

Imagine if the energy was spent doing something useful in their life.

It has nothing to do with the technology and everything to do with being cloaked in fake identities.

I hate fake identities. I think about that a lot.

Speaking of fake identities, there have been a lot of suspiciously new accounts. I wonder why…
Avatar of festers-siesta

Nothing wrong with new accounts. I have changed accounts more than once but never more than one at a time.

I dont have anything to say about anonymity itself, but original post is really well written and effective.

Also looking at the posts here I think you're getting targeted because I don't regularly see that many trolls in the span of 30 posts

He's a very angry man ..isn't he ?

At you yes. Now go home to mommy and daddy and thank them for making you as ignorant as they are and for teaching you to lie like a good christian child.

As I said recently around here somewhere, nobody strives for ideals anymore. The standards of the human race seem to drooping. Maybe Robert E. Howard was right. In one of the Conan novels he said (probably paraphrased) "Barbarism is the true state of mankind".

I agree that anonymity is commonly used as an excuse to behave in ways one would most certainly not use in real life. That said, I have to question your most recent post, number 31. If you frown upon acting that way, why are you doing so yourself?

It certainly seems that way. Whenever society lacks a significant moral hero is slides into it's unguided state of decay. There is clearly no moral leadership online.

Perhaps the history of the liar I was responding to has something to do with it.

This is the fourth thread he has persued me too after I disallowed his religious comments, which is a site rule not mine.

Then he lied that I insulted his religion in a separate thread.

I have limits of tolerance

This may be true, but does it warrant calling someone ignorant? How about what you first wrote, before you edited it? These words, perhaps spoken in anger, still carry the weight of insults.
Avatar of BasixWhiteBoy

He deleted a lot of his posts, so the context isn’t really there.

Didn't I edit it? Are you perfect? I'm not.

Ignorance is only an insult if you're ignorant of it's meaning

[Quote from Above by the thread's author] --

"Enter, if you dare, the new world of internet communication, where civility succumbs to vulgarity, intentional combativeness and even cruelty, and perhaps, the true sense of human possibilities is exposed."

FAANG / NT represents a collection of new trillion dollar companies and de facto tech giants with large monopoly rents. Since all that left is a blizzard of single letters (after all the companies they have bought up) here's the read out --

Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Google / Nividia and TESLA (along with Elon's side job with DOGE, some might argue).

On balance, we have entered a second gilded age, and we desperately need a Teddy Roosevelt like President in the White House, not an Andrew Jackson or William McKinley, OR massive amounts of gold embroidery (currently) around the Oval Office's fireplace and wall pictures.

But that's what we have now.

Next chance to make changes in the Fall 2026 November elections. I sure hope the DEMS get their act together and recover at least one house of Congress.

HOPE Springs Eternal.

Unfortunately, we quickly get disciplined by the mindless "bots" as per the next two posts below.

The irony of talking badly about Internet communication on an online forum is kind of insane

On the contrary. Online communicstion is here to stay. That it is abused by some does not condemn it. It condemns the abusers.
