The Forums: A life in the trenches. By Solastalgia

The "blah-blah bomb" is an cluster bomb. It is the 10 initial posts every new thread faces. It contains a deadly mixture consisting of 60% disagreement gas, 24% derailing paste, 13% grain of insult and 14% gibberish with about a 5% coating of genuine interest.
When this thing goes off and the blast is not contained a thread can go in any direction.
Unless your avatar is a pic of a hot girl then it contains 100% of slobbering and smileys.

I have made some friends like Trysts, Badger-song who is thick skinned enough, Kronsteen who compared me to Kahn and the Babytiger who changed my life in the trenches forever by giving me the gift of posting images from a mobile device after being guide by the Spirit of Chess based on an awesome thread about blockheads I came up with.
There are two types of people in this world : those who build and those who break.
We can also say those who create and those who destroy, and snitches they are the third type.
It is easy to destroy and break and that is why I am builder.
It takes chutzpah and real effort to build, it means getting your hands dirtied by the brick and mortar of improvement and contribution.
It is easy to burn books, art and threads especially when you are not in the cold, wet trenches everyday. When you are not the one taking the flak and when the constant pressure of the possible possibility of the black 15 foot torpedo of certain death is not screaming down at the port side of your exhausting endeavors
Here follows a brief but complete and extended visual guide to the forums, my experience of it,the insults, the snitches, the blockheads and various types of posters ...everything you need to know to survive the trenches.
I name no names and I shame no shames but know this: I am typing all this with my middle finger and my acute visual insights will burn in the minds of the breakers and destroyers like the burning red-hot coal of shame for those to whom the shoe fits
