Cm you've seen that film the fly I think . I can't see teleportation myself . Maybe like a particle or something but nothing more than that .

Even the brightest minds in, say, 1930 would not predict the iPhone. Maybe the Android though.

Yes, I saw The Fly a long time ago. I would not want to be the first human to test a teleportation device...or time travel...time travel has been mathematically proven to be possible...

Time travel is not considered theoretically possible because of the so called "Grandpa paradox":

If you go back in time and kill your grandpa when he is a newborn then how did you exist to went back in time and  kill your grandpa?

Parallel universe, of course! There are theories that, every second, millions of parallel universes are splitting off from the one in which you are conscious. In one of them, I probably beat Magnus Carlsen. It has been mathematically proven to be possible. I am postive about that. I know someone who wrote several books about the topic and has a Ph.D. I cannot answer the question about the paradox, though.

I just read BlargDragon's post re alpha and beta. My guess about parallel universes was correct...I guess. It was the only thing I could quickly make up.

Thanks, Tom.

There are things our brains simply can't comprehend. How can the universe go on forever or wrap around? How can it just stop at a termination point? How can there be nothing before the Big Bang? What created the Big Bang? Even Hawking doesn't know. Neither does Carlsen or Mozart or any other human.

Yes , I have heard the theory of the parallel universes but this theory creates other problems.

Time travel would allow us to travel in time  and  create practically infinite timeforks , and all that without any concequences!

But if time is one of the dimensions, as it is believed that is is , then even the slightest interference to any of them would have devastating results for the universe.

If infinite interefence in time has no concequences , then time is not a dimension. But if it is not a dimension , what is it?

Overall , the theory of the paralell universes has no theoretical or practical basis. You can't interfere in time and hope that there will be no concequences.

There is another theory that says that we will be able to travel back in time as spectators and without any ability to interfere. It will be like watching a movie or something like this.Theoretically that is something that can be done.Sky itself is a time travel. When we watch the sky most of the stars don't really exist. We watch their light as it travels towards us.Stars that are , let's say , 100 light years away  will be visible 100 years after they disapear. So every time we are looking the sky ,we are watching the past.

Theoretically if we travel 100 light years away , with a very strong telescope we can see earth as it was 100 years before. If we travel 200 light years away we can see the earth as it was 200 years before , etc.But is that really a time travel? It is not , it is more  like a time projection.

The most amazing  though is that because of light's infinite journey into space, every moment of earth history is visible from one point in space.Nothing from what happened or will happen is lost in universe's movie theatre.

There would be consequences--for whatever universe you popped into, which is now yours. If alpha you popped into beta universe fifty years ago and killed beta you's grandfather, beta you wouldn't exist. This line does create a messy assortment of practically infinite parallel universes, but complexity is no argument against plausibility. I'm not sure why there would be consequences for forking universes, or for interference in a time that exists as a dimension, any more than there are consequences for 3-dimensional movement through a single universe.

after stone age - metal age we already got the mill-age and slowly we get into the shit age - thats the future.

So pooping is the best way to secure one's place in that future?

The Millennium will soon rule the world. If you don't like it, you can move to the moon. ^_^

Nuh uh. Last time I went to the moon, they lost my luggage. Five months later they called me one evening to say they had found it, and to go outside and look up--and there it was, a fireball streaking overhead as it burned up while reentering Earth's atmosphere.

And they only gave me $300 for it.

So much "LOLs" jokerstar. Staaaph, your true colors are starting to come out. cx

Lol blarg.

and why is space so dark then - with that theory of never ending light? - and why dont we see more than 3000 - 6000 stars at the sky without a telescope?

Inverse square law plus observable universe barrier plus explanding universe, right?
