CNN IBN HAS reported that the Malasian plane was spotted by fisherman on Maldives Island at 5000feet.  The plot thickens... what the fishermen were doing THAT high up I don't know...

i think they were waiting for the fish to get the bait :D . Sure thing the malysian gvt is acting fishy about this wich is driving china crazy i can't belive that it's been more than 11 days  and they found nothing i hope they are not forgetting that there are people on that plane !

Another half a dozen posts on CC and we'd have probably conducted a more thorough investigation into the missing plane than the Malaysian government... Undecided

Most plausible theory for me is it had a malfunction, probably a fire on board, which would explain why the comms and transponders failed.  He (the experienced pilot) would've changed course to head to the nearest airport... tragically didn't make it.

and unless Liam Neeson's daughter is a passenger on board... we're probably NEVER gonna find out.

probably that's why i think that the plane got highjacked!

Either it crashed somewhere, or its a dry run for terrorist planning something in the future.

All joking aside... my heart goes out to the poor passengers and their families at this sad time.

That seems unlikely because the new flight path was not on a route to any nearby airport.  Indeed, based on all available information, the plane flew for at least an hour headed into the middle of the Indian Ocean.  This would not be a good plan if the (experienced) pilot was trying to land the plane after experiencing a malfunction.  Probably, the best plan would have been to turn around and head back to KL since they were only a little more than half an hour away at the time the course change was made.

One additional piece of information that the authorities just revealed was that there is evidence that the new flight plan was programmed into the navigational computer at least 12 minutes before the pilot last spoke to air traffic control.  It is unclear who made the changes to the navigational computer (presumably the pilot or co-pilot) or why that route was selected, as there were no suitable places to land a jetliner of that size along that route.  If the flight path change were because the pilot detected a malfunction, he presumably would have told air traffic control before signing off for the night.

I'm a simple minded person. The voice, "all right, good night". Was it actually night time, when that was said??  Could one of the pilots be going to take a nap??  Could a stuwardess be leaving the cock-pit, like a good bye??

I'm a simple minded person too and thus I would rule out terrorism because if it was ... it's done for effect and publicity for the cause and this is now massive ... involving 26 countries. Terrorists would be show-boating by now.

i agree with pt22064 .If you have a person that you love so much and he died i think that if there was a chance to bring him back to life you will sacrifice your whole life savings for it ... the plane was mostly overtaken by terrorists and after that people lose hope and belive that they are really dead they will come out asking for a big amount of money

Breaking Conspiracy Theory News:

Missing Malaysian plane ... 3 missing socks in my tumble drier!  Coincidence??

Avatar of RonaldJosephCote

Dam coincidental that it happened after that show, LOST. I bet the terrorist were watching that, and said, we can do that.

OK, its midnight EST, and Australia has debris in the water, that MIGHT be, from the plane.            If we find the plane, THEN can we go back to abusing  Princess Qruise Lines??
