Yeah, well power corrupts, and pathetic power corrupts pathetic people.

I guess people stay but complain because the good things outweigh the annoying things, or they would be gone.
Although familiar with the Stanford Project I had no idea the extent of the ramifications from this famous experiment. Nor was I aware how current the topic is after all these years. I also have written a blog post analysis Stanford Prison Project
In the Stanford Prison Experiment (SPE), a simulation of a prison was conducted, in this experiment, the prisoners and the guards were people that were going to be paid USD 15 per day. All the voluntaries received instructions from the “Superintendent” (the main researcher) and a “ward” (an undergraduate student that was helping with the experiment).
The “experimenters” gave the prisoners and guards just unstructured instructions on how to perform their duties. Therefore, allowing them greater freedom on how to act. Experimenters could give the guards suggestions, but those were not mandatory, the only strict rules were about not having violence or racism.
What happened next? The guards were increasingly abusive whenever they noticed that they had power, they started removing basic things that were considered the baseline at the beginning (food, water, visits to the toilet) and start offering them as rewards in exchange for “good behavior”.
What about the prisoners? At first, they tried to organize in order to communicate their complaints, when they saw that that didn´t work, it was each one trying to save themselves. However, an important point remains: they could have left at any point; however, they were so in the role of being a prisoner, that they stayed, even when they were not okay with the way they were being treated. In the end, many just tried to be nice to the guards, and could be aggressive against other members, just by trying to earn “points” with the figure of authority.
Regarding the question on why the guard were abusive, some will answer that they were just “playing a role”, therefore, deflecting any responsibility in their behavior. It sounds very similar to the “we were just playing orders”.
How can we relate it to the management of a website?
Are mods given only unstructured guidance on how to act?
They act in ways that they won´t approve if they were mere users?
The users here could have tried to communicate their complaints in groups but when they saw that it was not working, they could just act by themselves?
Could some users try to make other members look bad (like “incorrigible”) to the mods, just to make themselves look better?
Why if some people are unhappy and could leave the website, don´t leave? (even when this question could sound a bit like “why don´t they return to their country of origin?”)
this will be a full essay on why Naruto is a certified hood classic in 2019 and will continue to be until February 2nd 2069.
Before i begin shout out to the anime chess club because they helped (i don't know why )
now i must begin
naruto is a movie released by toei animation in 2007 to tons of fans. it was so popular partly because netflix was the only way you could get it (back then they were a rental service) so lots of people rented it because it was in such high demand. but eventually on april 2nd 2008 some man from Ohio named jake paul destroyed netflix one copy of naruto and the movie was lost until april 3rd 2008 when netflix launched streaming but the wars in the streets were wild while naruto was unavailable and people did the unthinkable (watching sword art online and creating chess.com) but thats just a breif history now we will get into the movie itself.
naruto is a movie about some kid trying to become a ninja however the ninjas kill people and he does not like this so he moves the china. soon after he meets sasukae a ninja from the hidden village of beaten meat and they team up to train and destroy the great darkness in the world . just to start the story is heart breaking i cried within the first 10 seconds when Naruto's distant cousin gets shot in a party this doesn't ever come up after that scene but it had me crying, a sign of the great writing. the music is fantastic using exclusively k pop and rap fusion for battles and screams for everything else. my only problem is with the cars. Naruto's Tesla looks more like a truck than a luxury car but other than that it is a fantastic hood classic that everyone should see and love together.
