Windows is not a computer. It's an operating system that runs on many types of computers.
I have a Surface Pro with Windows 10 used mostly for surfing and as an entertainment system. I have an old Lenovo T61 laptop with XP used mostly for chess play and study. I also have an old Lenovo tower running XP for some games and an old Dell running 98SE for some older games. Lastly, I have an old home built PC running Linux and occasionally Tails (a more secure version of Linux).
A couple of these were machines we scrapped at work after their usefulness ended. Being the System Administrator had some advantages. We gave away old machines to employees but I got to cherry pick the ones I knew had been treated well.
