This topic has turned out rather interesting, if only for the lovely tangents. Some people thought I was a sock puppet too. ... and a troll ... and a man.
Most of the people I have blocked, had their accounts closed, so I guess my instincts regarding trolls has been fairly accurate. Of course I have been blocked by a few folks here, which besides being stupid, it totally unfair. I mean, I really put out for this Off Topic Forum.
How does a sock puppet differ from a troll? Anyone? The words seem to mean the same to me.

For I've seen, a sockpuppet is an alternate account, made for trolling, of course, what means his/her owner is a troll. But you can do trolling without it, so not all trolls are sockpuppets.
I wouldn't at all be surprised if Kerri_90 and vanessagdias weren't sockpuppets of mersaphe.

There's also confusion between trolling and flaming...
A troll is someone who makes outrageous claims and tries to convince people they are true.
A flamer is someone who swears and calls people name... someone who causes/incites trouble.

I have done some "shock jocking" for crumbs and giggles over time. Some of it could have come close to flamer lines. When I did I tried not to shock jock on the individual. Entities, gubberment, and corporations all seemed fair game tho.
