why do people call Batman a hero

Nope he’s a broken villain but you shouldn’t beat a guy with a disorder a guy who was bullied as a kid etc.

Because consumers love dark and brooding anti-heroes. That's all you get. No need for good writing or making a different style of anti-hero.
Batman isn’t a villain, villains do do what they think is right, such as Batman, but the difference is Hero’s do what they think is right based off of a tragic event, villains do what they think is right because they think they can do better then the government, Batman falls under hero’s better then villain, Batman (in the comics at least) has a code he follows, which one of the major points in his code is no killing, while villains would usually do what they seek to do at almost any cost
Batman’s definitely a villain. If you don’t recognize that voice, then you need to quickly.

Batman isn't a villain. Yes, he tends to be darker than many other heroes, but that doesn't mean he's not doing the right thing
