Yes, thanks. Read this.

Support.Chess.Com is a really good website for looking at answers. I wish people read articles on there before making unnecessary forum posts

6 and 8 are different.

The widely accepted definition is-if you lose, you lose rating. If you win you win rating. When I won against someone rated 200+ my rating, I only got +6 rating.

Now?

I BEAT FM 1RANDOM ON BULLET AND HE WAS RATED 2600 AND I WAS 1100 AND I ONLY GOT 10 RATING POINTS AND HE LOST LIKE 5

In the arcicle or what ever it is:

A few things can affect how much your rating changes after you play a game. Some things that can affect this are: The difference in rating between you and your opponent How confident we are of your rating How confident we are of your opponent’s rating Number one is pretty straight forward. If you win against someone who has a much higher rating than you, your rating will go up by a higher amount than if you win against someone of your same rating, or of a lower rating.

A rating difference of roughly 0 to 50 (forgot if it was 25 or 50) between two players results in 8 rating points gain/loss.

A rating difference of 100 points between two players results in a +10/-6 rating points change for the lower rated player for a win/loss.

A rating difference of around 600 points between two players results in a +16/-0 rating points change for the lower rated player for a win/loss.

I believe it was 25 and for 25-50 its win 9 lose 7 if you are the underdog. However glicko probably makes a big difference for that.

Mods watch all of the games as they are played and decide on how many points a player will gain or lose.  They're supposed to use a formula given to them by the admin. but some of them just go off the cuff.

so they can (the mods) give the person -100 when hes playing a CM? or something like that?

That is not correct.

I am looking at those games now. First of all he has beaten you a few times. He gained 0 points because the rating difference is too great, you've lost 0 points as well.

After first loss he went from 2634 to 2618, so he lost 16 points. You went from 1168 to 1184, so you've gained 16 points. You have beaten him twice after that first win and both times you've gained 16 points and he lost 16 points.

So, as you can see, when the opponents are roughly equal and have played enough games, both will stand to gain or lose 8 points. As the gap gets bigger, points gained and lost will change until at certain point higher rated player will gain 0 for a win and can lose 16 in case of a loss. I am not sure if you can gain/lose more than 16 if you have played enough games, but probably not.
