Why not jazz?
I love jazz because it's all instinct and creativity. There's none of the stress of playing anything "correctly", just playing something in the chord that sounds good. Whether jazz is good or bad is highly subjective, but for me that's part of the beauty of it.

This is the Off Topic section. That means discussions about subjects other than chess. If you haven't noticed (and I'm sure you haven't) there are several threads about music here. They are fairly popular and very informative. Maybe you are more suited for the "Smash or Pass" threads?
I'm not much for free-form jazz but there are other styles, like Dixieland, that don't seem so 'random' to me.

I could go on and on but jazz is not my bag. I mean they are immensely talented musicians I just think jazz is largely garbage. I wish I was better at playing by ear but not necessarily in a jazzy style. It’s very difficult for me to tell the difference between great jazz and random nonsense. I do highly respect jazz players tho. Why do you hate (or love) jazz? Cue jazz hands
