Clock Bug Acknowledgement

Can someone from chess.com acknowledge that there is a huge BUG that makes both clocks stop?

Countless people reported it and it’s been happening for several days.

It seems that when there is even a slight internet disconnect (I assume) the last move doesn’t get sent and both clocks stop.

At least acknowledge that there is a problem and that you’re working on it.

I assume you are talking about the iOS problem. There are threads where they acknowledged it and said they knew what the problem was and that they would get a new build soon.

Just found this. They fixed the bug and submitted it to apple 3 days ago.

Just lost a game to this. Updated to the new version, let's hope its a real fix.

With the update, on my Ipad there is a new bug. Instead of freezing both clocks, I made a move and my clock would still keep running as If i hadn't played. I had to propose a draw in order for the other player to play.

Same here. Very frustrating!

It is happening with the app. I moved and waited. My move never registered. Note the Arena clock at the top.

Please reset my rating to restore more than 30 Elo lost to this ridiculous bug.

I moved. My connection was secure. I lost by abandonment as my clock continued to run after my move.

I wrote to support@chess.com to find out how ios app users are supposed to report problems or bugs. The answer was to use the Contact Us link in Help (on the app).

I reached the app developer who said:

Thanks! Yes we are aware of this. Turns out there were two issues and we are already testing the fix. We’ll submit a build to Apple later today or tomorrow.

Snap, broken despite app update.
