I know chess.com get this sort of thing all the time, but I think I actually have a good idea this time.
I was going through a game review, and I was looking at an opponent's mistake. It said it was a blunder because it lost a queen. Well, I couldn't figure out how, so I asked it to "show me," it then rattled off nearly a 12-move sequence where at the end my opponent, in fact, does lose a queen.
Now, here my idea. How NICE would it be if I could simply click "add variation" as an option that appears after you click "show me." Where it would add that line to a study I have created to be studied. Kind of stealing a page from Lichess and the study feature, but chess.com can do it better. Let me create my own studies and name them, then when I come across a sequence like that in a game that is way too big to remember I can add it to my opening repertoire I'm working on at that moment and can study it.
Or it doesn't HAVE to be a study... even maybe like a custom puzzle option "My puzzles" where I can just save variations and be quizzed on them later. Either of these would be awesome for player improvement because we can make them from out own games... but it wouldn't HAVE to be your own game. You could do it from any "show me" sequence from a game review.
I just think it should be really quick and easy to save and begin working on that blunder you just looked at. There are all these complicated systems out there where they like make puzzles from mistakes from your games, but I want way more control over it... and it be organized into the opening I'm studying at the time. That is all. Make it happen chess.com!
