More IOS notification options - Notification should display how much time I have left

I am a frequent turn-misser, for even week long games, and I would like the ability to see how much time is left for my turn, in the notification. I am specifically talking about IOS notifications.

Here's my experience:

1. I get a notification on my phone that it's my turn and time is expiring.

2. Worried that I may lose from time, I quickly open the app and then realize that I, in fact, have many hours left to take my turn.

3. Relieved, I put my phone down and return to what I was doing, deciding that I will come back to it at a later time.

4. I continue to receive such notifications but am sure that I still have more time. The notification does not indicate how much time is left.

5. I forget.

6. I lose on time. 
I would find it helpful if the notifications would say either 1. what day/time I need to play by or 2. how much time is remaining. I feel as if the false urgency expressed through the current IOS notifications has trained me to ignore them, and a real deadline would be easier to plan around - especially since I like to take my time thinking through my move since I am very bad.
