Chess.com has a very serious issue with spam on the forums all over the place there are spam accounts trying run loan style scams. You have seen them I have seen them we have all seen them. They are really getting out of hand and making chess, com look amateurish to be honest. On the grand scale of things this problem is newer but I believe that it is one of chess.coms most serious problems at this time.
There are many ways that this spam can be combated. Accounts could be forced to play a certain number of games before posting on the forums they could do some sort of E-mail conformation although they might already do this or there could simply be a cool down period that makes people wait before posting.
I have seen some of those above reasons be rebutted but I think they are all good. Many of these spam posts are being made with minutes of the accounts being created if chess.com had a one day cool down period before people could post I believe the spam would be cut by more than half.
Forcing people to play games would be another good way. These spammers are very very low effort. If they have to click on any different buttons they will probably just move to a different site.
Chess.com is currently a sitting duck the spammers know it and they are attacking us. With these simple changes chess.com can protect itself.
