What’s the penalty for quitting/abandoning games ?

It’s so disrespectful to quit a game and leave someone sitting there waiting for them to move and nothing. There must be no penalty for this even tho you can report it. How hard is it to just click resign ? Rather than resign they just leave the game . Imagine if it were over the board and you blunder and just get up and walk away not saying anything . You would never do that what makes people think it’s ok to do that online? If you abandon a game you should automatically lose the ability to join a game for 30 min then an hour then a day. SERIOUSLY ITS SO EASY TO JUST RESIGN!
