Can you Trade Member Points for Items ?

When I get to 6000, erik said he'll pay for me to have a week in space. Obviously, being an astute businessman, he insists that I wear a Chess.com baseball cap for all TV work.

Hi everybody !
I was just wondering... can you trade member points for things ? Like if you have 2000 points, you should make like 1 week free membership. It makes more people more active !
You sense inactivity in the forums? It follows then that you can misunderstand the concept of points and rewards. Here is how it might work. You pay a penny for each post you make. After 10,000 posts ($100) you exchange your 10,000 points for a reward worth $5.

Please allow me to make a point:
Post #19: "There will be no"
Post #20: "There will be no trades"
Post #21: "There will be no trades for"
Post #22: "There will be no trades for member"
Post #23: "There will be no trades for member points!"
(How many more do I need for that t-shirt?...)

If you ever reach MINUS 1000 member points, you have to give chess.com a T-shirt. (SOURCE: is-there-any-table-that-shows-relation-between-action-and-player-points)

So far all I can get is the giant novelty comb.
And your fur coat looks marvelous, g-dog! No more tangles!
I would save up for the giant novelty brush but they don't have one. Now that would be sweet.
