It used to be that the CHAT tab was always in focus.

Last week it changed  http://blog.chess.com/webmaster/site-enhancements---20110616    so that the MOVES tab is always in focus - UNLESS someone types something - in which case, the CHAT tab gets the focus FOR ONE MOVE .... plus the CHAT tab has focus when the game starts.

Cystem_Phailure

Confusion?  Do you really think there are multitudes out there who don't know if they click on the "chat" tab it will display the chat window?

Yes, you keep saying again and again and again "if it's not broken" blah blah blah.  Saying it wasn't broken is just one opinion.  Others felt that the default tabs behavior was poorly set up and had requested it be improved, as it was.

Well, only chess players can be truly confused about this change! Ya' gotta' love 'em!Laughing

Oh, and I'm all for confusing and disrupting the delicate lives of chess players, so I would say not only should the present change stay, but, switch it around every week or so!WinkLaughing

Now there's an idea.  Then nobody could complain, right? Cool

As would you, since you're hypothesizing about something that can't be known.

It would be great! We can wake up in the morning, all crabby, go to Chess.com, and before we even have our first cup of coffee, yell at all the people who've made 20 new threads crying about another changeLaughing

I always imagined that's what heaven's like.

I think maybe in heaven they have coffee IVs for when you sleep, and that way you can wake up already fully charged.

I just hope Jesus isn't going to be floating around in a diaper. That would really piss me offCry

Cystem_Phailure

Now, trysts, don't be going and getting my thread locked up . . . it's the first one I've started in 3 months. Cool

But, he wore diapers in every movie he was in? And you didn't like the diaper/urine wordplay?Cry

Cystem_Phailure

Well, sure, the wordplay was OK for a beginning-of-the-evening warm-up effort.  Sort of a stretching exercise. Cool

Interface changes on chess.com could be communicated more effectively - judging from the brouhaha in the forums that often follows. For instance: the removal of colour choice on live chess, the change to the legal move enforcement on the Analysis Board, the removal of group admin rights from basic members.

wishiwonthatone

I don't get all this. there's a chess board. Pieces move. I lose. What's all the hubbub?

Chess.com always comes through in the end.

Thanks for giving us the choice on which tab to choose!

Cool
