I never see such messages even when I use an older laptop. How many apps are you running simultaneously?
Old Chess.com version!

Logging in today to a myriad of Threads from disgruntled Members trying to play chess and unable to. The whole Help and Support Forum comprises Threads about games not loading.
Why can't chess.com put a message on people's Home page or something to alert everyone that there's a Site problem?
Even call it Site Maintenance and save some face...
The problem is only impacting iOS, in particular the app, and mostly members on 9.x versions of that. So they wouldn't see the home page anyway, unless the load up a browser.
If I had a problem, the first thing I would do would be to go to the website to see if it was a general problem and look for an Announcement from the management.

The idea of V3 is to keep the light show going, keep the masses talking (online).
And continue to sell their private information to any an all advertisers.
V3 is largely a pain in the arse. But the need to continually update (and resell) software and hardware to the masses trumps all. Including @Kaynights lame one-liners, as per quote below.
After @100 posts of essentially Geek Talk, surely the disinterested reader can glean this simple idea? Nuff said?

"Nothing wrong here. Just saying...."

I guess we are all "Brain Hacked" by the ecosystem, as per the 60 Minutes show last night on CBS. Check it out, on streaming, or whatever ecosystem you might frequent.

Erik commented on one of the iOS threads. Apparently there have been so many games played that game IDs have shot well past 2 billion, and the upper limit for 32-bit integers is a little over 2 billion. 32-bit devices started to break, as they couldn't handle these game IDs.
They're working on a fix and hope to have it ready soon.

That might be what they're doing. That will buy them a few years, anyway, and by that point hopefully 32-bit devices will be a thing of the past.

The majority of people are already on v3. Those who hate v3 are very vocal, but they're the minority. If it was a straight-up vote, v2 would be gone now.

The messages from Staff were that V2 will be maintained until V4 will be set-up soon. Do "the majority" that are on V3 plays anything else than Live?
I do not have a problem with the functioning of the new version but I have a tremendous load time difference of games and pages. I am using a 64 bit (comparitable with a dual core) 2GHz processor with 3GB of RAM on a 50 Mb internet connection. Often the message, "Chess.com not responding", is displayed for a few seconds then it continues and loads completly.
Isn't the Q&A department assuring some reasonable functioning on various user classes of devices?
