Pawn problem

Have any of you had games where you have selected to move a pawn two places but its only been recorded as one place. Then disaster your opponent takes your piece?

Can I report this to chess.com somewhere?

You've stumbled into a rule called En Passant.  It's common that people don't know about this rule, but it has been around about as long as the two-square pawn move.

Yeah just saw it. en passant where'd that come from.

LOL didn't know about the rule but its been present for over 500 years!!!!

Ok, you don't have to know something that noone has ever told you.. Don't mind. Just concentrate on every single move, either yours or your opponent's, and you'll be better
