Repertoire Trainer?

I think it would be an amazing addition to the site to have a opening repertoire trainer that works similar to the tactics trainer.  I am trying to learn more opening theory, and I don't like trying to memorize things based off videos or opening databases alone (although that's how I currently do it). To actually be able to test yourself with feedback would be awesome. The main things I'd be looking for are:

-Selecting opening lines from ECO books to drill/train

-Being able to add lines  and modify the 'tree' within a particular opening, because let's be honest, 1200-1400 players are not playing book moves that often.

-Training options that would allow you to train one very specific line, or randomized lines in a particular opening

-The opening trainer working in conjunction with a engine, to let you know if the moves you are adding to your repertoire manually are losing or inaccurate.

I bet a feature like this, could get the site a lot of more paid subscriptions too... Just sayin'. How about it chess.com ppl? Anybody else agree? Any other ideas on features?

agreed.  Question for the folks at chess.com:  is this in the works for the site?

Have you looked at Learn > Lessons > Old Lessons > Openings?

It might start to approximate what you're asking for. It's not as comprehensive as chessable's opening trainer, but it does a pretty good job of explaining and letting you figure out what to do.
