Sorting all games by opening

It would be really useful if Chess.com had a feature to sort a player's games by opening. Then we could see which openings we performed worse with, which ones we needed to brush up more on.

Currently I have 8000 blitz games and manually sorting them would be a monumental task because I'd have to download each and every one of them, check the moves on my own, create my own database, blech. But it seems like the site could do this much more simply. Or even if it gave me an option to manually tag games by opening so when I scroll through, I can see it easily. I believe some other sites do this.

That used to be one of the features of "Game Explorer" here, an ability to look at your own games, but it has been broken for 3 years now.

They have attempted various fixes but as I understand it, they would need to upload tens of millions of games to the database at this point and they just don't have the capacity to do it.

All of the games played on the site are archived on the site. Surely, detecting what the first few moves were and tagging a game wouldn't be too bad would it? Or giving players an option to leave visual tags on the thumbnail for their games? Or letting players organize their games and bookmark some of them?

That wouldn't require integrating the millions of games with the database--which sounds like a much more serious undertaking.

Would be good to be able to search through different games being played at all levels and filter based on different things like openings. They have this in various fighting games online and it's useful.
